Ralph Stephens, age 81, of Hillside View Lane, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at his residence.
Born November 6, 1934, in West Liberty, he was a son of the late Porter and Mary Tester Stephens. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters; one son, Ralph Duane Stephens; and one grandson, Jacob Michael Young.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia "Patty" Brandenburg Stephens, two sons, Kevin Stephens and Ronnie Stephens of Morehead; two daughters, Kathy Young of Middletown, Ohio, and Vicky (Steve) Peck of Centerville, Ohio; one sister, Geraldine Brewer of Frenchburg; seven grandchildren; one great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind extended family and many lifelong friends.
He was a retired carpenter with Local Union 189 in Lexington. Ralph enjoyed coon hunting, vegetable gardening, canning, and, most of all, spending time with family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Jason Stephens, J T Stephens, Junior Nickell, Wayne Brown, Lincoln Brown, Nathan Brown, Josh Sponsel, Burl Ferguson, and Brian Easton.
