Daniel D. Amborski Sr., age 63 years, of Maumee passed away suddenly Saturday, April 9, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital. Born in Toledo on December 6, 1941, to Casimer and Henrietta (Szymanski) Amborski, Sr.
An Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era. Dan retired in 2003 after a 30 year career as a plumber and pipefitter with Local 50. An avid pigeon jockey, he spent countless hours with his birds. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His passions included gardening and yard work, playing scratch off lotto tickets and especially playing with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his loving wife of 36 years, Connie (Walkowiak); children, Daniel (Adrienne) Amborski Jr., Jennifer (Ray) Conners, Laura (Mike) Feldkamp, Angela (Brian) Herbster and Michael Amborski and his fiance, Rebekah Bergman; grandchildren, Gwen and Neil Amborski, Brandi and Brittany Conners, Erica and Raymond Conners, Claire Feldkamp and Samantha and Jacob Herbster; brothers, Raymond (Debbie) Amborski and Victor Szymanski; sisters, Patricia Acres and Bonnie (Ben) Cobb and sister-in-law, Martha Amborski.
Preceded in death by his parents, as well as brothers, Casimer Amborski Jr. and Robert Amborski.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 12, 2005, from 2-8 p.m. in the Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd. where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Prayers will be recited on Wednesday at 9:45 in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Maumee.
