Louis J Barkyoumb, 79, who has been residing at the home of his daughter Mrs Emma Sweeney of Newton Road died last night at the St Albans Hospital. He leaves two daughters: Mrs Sweeney and Mrs Laura Nichols of Winooski. Four sons, Edward Barkyoumb of Fairfax, Charles Barkyoumb of Lowell, Leo and Norman Barkyoumb of St Albans. 35 grandchildren and five great children.
Funeral will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock in Holy Angels Church. The body will be placed in the vault.

The funeral of Lewis Barkyoumb was held this morning at 9 o'clock from Holy Angels Church. Rev F Bastien officiating. The body was placed in the vault at Mt Calvary Cemetery.
The bearers were John Labounty, Raymond Labounty, Edward Longway, Edward Nichols, Jack Gilbeault and Theodore Minor.
Among those from away to attend the funeral were: Mr and Mrs Justin Hoben, Allen Danforth, Mr and Mrs J H McMahon, Mr and Mrs Edward Barkyoumb and family, Mr and Mrs R Laverdure, Mr and Mrs Will Barkyoumb, Thomas Nichols, Henry Nichols, Mr Spooner and Theodore Minor all of Fairfax. Mr and Mrs Leon Nichols and Herbert Nichols of Winooski, Charles Barkyoumb of Lowell and Mrs Lillian Archambault of Westford.
