Harriet graduated from Marinette High School in 1935.
"Dolly" married Franklin Pearson on October 24th, 1940, a union that lasted for 47 years, until his death in 1988.
After working in Lauerman’s china department before her marriage, Dolly devoted the rest of her life to being a wonderful homemaker. She liked to play pinochle, socialize and to generally have fun, especially being with her family.
One of the ways that Dolly showed her love for our family was by making sure that no holiday passed by - July 4th, Memorial Day and Halloween included - without it being observed and enjoyed in her home with her delightful decorations and special foods. These simple get-togethers, along with our regular Saturday night meals, knit our family together and provided memories that we will cherish forever.
Dolly was an active member in the First United Methodist Church in Marinette. She enjoyed attending her Circle meetings, and was a faithful potato peeler for the church’s annual pasty sale.
Dolly is survived by her son, Brian (Monica) Pearson;
her grandchildren: George and Emily Pearson;
her daughter, Ann (Phil) Santos;
her sister, Evelyn “Jane” Davis;
and her niece and nephews: Joan Galloway, Gary Krutz and Jerry Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: James, John and Franklin Hornick, all of Marinette, WI; and her sister, Kathryn (Howard) Koch of Menominee, MI.
Visitation will take place at the Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home on Thursday, May 19th, at 1 p.m., followed at 2 p.m. by a prayer service officiated by Pastor Kevin Dembinski and a celebration of her life.
