Betty is survived by her children, Patricia (Morris) Failor of Nevada, Regina L. (Terry) Snyder of New Winchester, James R. (Lois) Smith Jr. of Alabama, and Beth England of Battle Creek, Michigan, 13 grandchildren, and 34 great grandchildren.
Betty attended Bucyrus Schools and had worked at Woolworths, Moore Shoe Store, Millington's, Maplecrest, Heartland, and the Fairhaven home. She was a member of Wayside Chapel where she served with her husband as Wayside Christian School janitors, in the bus ministry, and as teen workers. She was probably best known as the Wayside camp cook for many years. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, crocheting, and embroidery. She favored many family and friends with her afghans and doilies.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10:00 am in the Wayside Chapel with Rev. Carl Smith and Rev. Timothy Compton officiating, burial will follow in Nevada Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm. The family suggests memorials be made to Gideon's International.
