Laura Elizabeth Kersey passed away Monday surrounded by family and friends after a valiant battle with congestive heart failure. She touched many lives with her humble and loving spirit and her modeling of her life after Christ.

Laura was born in Weston, Missouri. She attended Weston High School. She earned her cosmetology degree and was a truck driver. Laura retired in 1982. She enjoyed crocheting blankets and hats for family members and friends.

Laura is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry, her sons, Ralph & Wyatt Kersey.

She is survived by her brothers, Ray Goodlet and family, Ralph Goodlet and family, Billy Goodlet and family; sisters, Clara Bavens and family, Dorothy Williams and family; children, JW Kersey and grandchildren, Henry and Susan Kersey grandchildren, Randall and Mary Kersey and grandchildren, Sheena Kersey and grandchildren, Michelle and Abby, Crystal Kersey and grandchildren Cortney, Zoey and Samantha, Ralph and Candice Kersey and grandchildren Lance and Laura, Janet and Tommy Robbins and granddaughter Eve; grandsons, Robert Nygaard and great grandchildren Christina, Mechell and Zoie, Clinton and Misty German and family; granddaughter, Laschelle Nygaard and son, Mark Hopkins; Daughter in-law, Lisa Kersey and grandchildren, Julia, Mellissa, TJ, Desire and many great grandchildren and in-law's Richard and Helen Valenzuela and family and friends.

Her loving spirit will be missed by all who knew Laura.

Friends and family are invited to the memorial service on Saturday, May 21st at 10:30 am at Northwest Christian Center 8601 North Council Road, Oklahoma City.

Condolences may be left in Laura's guestbook.

Family wishes to extend their gratitude to Crossroad Hospice, Northwest Christian Center and the services from OK Cremation and Funeral Home at 2415 N. Walnut Ave in Oklahoma City and family and friends especially, Mark Hopkins, Dave and Deb Sharp, and all those that prayed for Laura.
