Lawrence, Jim Tom Of Thiensville, died peacefully on Saturday, May 23, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon with his family at his side. Born December 15, 1923, in Kansas City, Missouri, Jim was raised in Oklahoma. He proudly served his country in Iceland as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II. After his military service he returned home and earned his degree from Oklahoma A&M in 1950. Jim met the love of his life, Patricia, in Pennsylvania and would have celebrated 58 wonderful years of marriage on June 16th. Together, Jim and Pat raised three wonderful children that he loved dearly. Jim is survived by his wife Patricia (Patton), and children Tom (Penny), Martha (Bill) and Sam (Debbie). He is further survived by his grandchildren Carice, Hannah, Andrew, Alexandra, Mark, and Reed, and great - grandchildren Mayzie, Madison, Joey Jr. and Malena. A mechanical engineer by education, his passion for people and conversation made him a natural sales engineer. Jim retired from the W.D. Ehrke Company in 1990, after 37 dedicated years. He was a proud, involved and active member of the Instrument Society of America (ISA) up until his death. Jim was proud to be a charter member of Crossroads Presbyterian Church in Mequon, having served as an Elder and on countless committees. He also shared his wonderful voice through the choir for many years. Jim loved to tinker around the house, the Green Bay Packers, and his winters in Florida with Pat. But above all else, Jim loved the time he spent with his family. Please join his family for a celebration of Jim's life on Saturday, May 30, to be held at Crossroads Presbyterian Church, starting with visitation at 11:00AM followed by a memorial service at 1:00PM. Memorials to Crossroads Presbyterian Church would be greatly appreciated. Schramka-Densow Funeral Home
