Note: Minnie Voigt's first marriage was to Fred Oekerman in 1891. After his death in 1920, she had other known marriages to Joseph W. Dennis, Herman Seidler, and Felix Kriebs.

In 1883 Caroline Minna "Minnie" Voigt, age 7, came to the United States from Germany with her parents through the port of Galveston, Texas. The Voigt family lived at McDade, Bastrop County, Texas before moving to Wilson County, Texas. She married Fredrick "Fred" Oekerman in the Charlottenburg Church near Shiner, Lavaca County, Texas on Dec 27, 1891. They had five children. Martha, Fred Jr, William, and Ben were born in Texas and Frank in Oklahoma.
They moved from Oklahoma to Sheridan, Oregon around 1912.
