She married Fredrick "Fred" Oekerman in the Charlottenburg Church near Shiner, Lavaca County, Texas on Dec 27, 1891. They had five children. Martha, Fred Jr, William, and Ben were born in Texas and Frank in Oklahoma.
They moved from Oklahoma to Sheridan, Oregon around 1912.
