Jeff Davis Long, 86, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. Visitation will begin at 10:00 and burial will be private for family only at 2:30 PM at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, 4742 N. 24th Street, Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85016.

Mr. Long was born in Perdido, AL the son of the late Willie Boyd McKinley Long and Christopher C. Long and was preceded in death by a brother, Charles M. Long. He was a production controller supervisor at Robins Air Force Base and retired after 40 years of service. Mr. Long was a United States Army veteran, a member of Shurlington Baptist Church (now Greenwood) and the Faith Sunday School Class.

He enjoyed blessing children, family, and friends with his woodworking creations, including 50 rocky horses. Mr. Long was proud that he had donated 139 pints of blood to the Red Cross.

Mr. Long is survived by his wife, Evelyn Crumbliss Long of Macon; sons, Barry (Kim) Long of Perdido, AL, Jeffery (Carol) Long of Grand Bay, AL, and Mike (Rebecca) Long of Perry, GA; daughters, Teresa Blakeslee of Moyock, NC, Karen (Charles) Kerner of Perdido, AL; step-sons, Reed (Jan) Crumbliss of Lake City, GA, Tim (Carrie) Crumbliss of Greenville, SC; step-daughter, Evie Crumbliss of Macon; brother, Tommy (Phyllis) Long of Crystal Springs, MS; sister, Gloria Cunningham of Atmore, AL; many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.

Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street, has charge of arrangements.
