Eugene Brandon BURT, 1797-1882, son of Harwood BURT, 1762-1815, and of his wife, Susannah MILES, 1765-1829, married first Sarah 'Sally' Ann DOZIER, 1805-1847. Eugene was the eldest of five brothers and three sisters.

Eugene Brandon BURT, 1797-1882, migrated to Washington County, Texas in his later years, along with more members of the BURT and MUSE families. He first appeared
on the Tax Rolls in Texas in 1875. He is buried alongside his unmarried daughter, Caroline 'Carrie' V.
