Peggy Jean McNeal-Babb, age 61, of Mountain Pine, AR, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 21, 2016. She was born in Hot Springs, AR, on May 26, 1954 to proud parents Willie and Louise Brownlee McNeal.
Peggy grew up in Mountain Pine and graduated from Mountain Pine High School. She worked in housekeeping and the commercial food industry. She was married to Elder Frank Babb, Jr. and to this union, three children were born. Peggy was a member of Angel Gabriel Church of God in Christ in Hot Springs, where she was active until her health declined.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents.
She will be remembered by her children: Shonna Babb-Smith (Gary) of Russellville, AR; Alex T. Babb of Kansas City, KS and Erik Babb (Meafua) of Eagle River, AK,
brothers: Willie “Yogi” Jones of Los Angeles, CA; Willie Frank Moon of Hot Springs, AR; Billy Tash (Cheryl) of Royal, AR; James Jones (Jennifer) of Arkadelphia, AR; and Kenneth McNeal (Toni) of Hot Springs, AR;
sisters: Nellie Todd (Willie) of Marshall, TX; Mary Reed (Sylvester) of Virginia Beach, VA; Norma Williams (Maurice) of Hot Springs, AR; and Evon Skinner of Long View, TX;
grandchildren: Bristen, Alexus, Ava, Ayan, Ayden and Alyan Babb, Addison, Kyle and Jessica Smith; a host of other relatives and friends.
There will be a home going celebration for Peggy at Harvey’s Chapel Baptist Church at 2515 Mountain Pine Road in Mountain Pine, AR, with Pastor Buddy Leamons delivering her eulogy.
There will be a Visitation for family and friend, at Gospel Mission C.O.G.I.C. (1107 Spring Street, Hot Springs), where Elder Danny Turner is Pastor.
Her earthly body will be laid to rest at Mountain Pine Cemetery in Mountain Pine. Brandon’s Mortuary is entrusted with arrangements.
