He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kathy; stepdaughter, Heather Wilks; sisters, Faye Stone, Patricia Goodwin, Christene Pfingston, Dorothy Pease, and Sharon Riley; brothers, Grady Harper and Ed Evitts; and his beloved dogs, Pee Wee and Boss.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Sylvester, in 2007.
Services will be at 10AM Thurs., May 19, 2016 at Browning Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating.
Friends may visit from 9AM until time of service. Burial, Oak Hill Cemetery.
