Pulaski, June 4 - Miss Jessica F. Farmer, 50, native of the town of Richland, died yesterday morning at her home at 2 Port street following an illness of less than a week.

Miss Farmer was born July 29, 1877, at the Farmer home one mile south of this village and where she had passed practically all her life. Graduating from Pulaski academy class of 1895, and entered offices of her brother, Lawrence J. Farmer, who operates a nursery one mile south of this village and for 26 years had been in the employ of Charles A. Newell, at that time postmaster at Kasoag and who later came to Pulaski and engaged in operating a variety store, first in the People's National Bank building at North Jefferson and Park streets and who later acquired the Tollner block in the same thoroughfare. It was during the latter period that he served as town clerk and Miss Farmer was appointed deputy town clerk, serving in that capacity until about two years ago, when Albert E. Lawrence was elected to succeed him. At the time of her death she was serving with Mr. Jewell as deputy county clerk.

Miss Farmer was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church and of Young Women's Foreign Missionary society: Ontario Chapter 638 D. A. R., and of the Women's Civic club of Pulaski.

Surviving are two brothers Charles F. Farmer and Lawrence J. Farmer of Pulaski and a sister Mrs. Frank W. Austin of Fulton.

Funeral services will be held from the home at 3 Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Charles H. Bollinger, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church. Burial will be made in Pulaski cemetery.

Members of Ontario Chapter, 633 D. A. R., will attend in a body. It is announced by the regent, Mrs. Frederic G. Whitney of North Jefferson street.
