Born in Media, Ill., she was the daughter of Gayle and Gladys Mathers Heap. On Dec. 16, 1945, she married Glen E. Link in Roseville, Ill. He died Aug. 2, 1995.
She was a graduate of Media High School. She and her husband farmed for many years and operated Middletown Auction Sales from 1960 to 1974. After retiring in 1974, they moved to Mount Pleasant, where she took in sewing for 32 years. She was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Glenna Smith of Madison, Mo., and Barbara Waterhouse of Atlanta, Mo.; one son, Everett Link of Middletown; seven grandchildren; four great–grandchildren; and two sisters, Wanda Lamoreux of Mason City and Rosella "Odie" Aden of Golden, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one one foster son and two sisters in infancy.
The funeral was held at Banks and Beals Funeral Home.
