Born in Kentucky, he formerly lived in Indianapolis. In 1930, he was married to Mable Helen Corns; she died in 1968. His second marriage was in 1968 to Frances Johnson, who survives.
Mr. Clark formerly owned and operated Clarks Refrigeration and Repair Service in Indianapolis. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Indianapolis.
Surviving with his widow are a son, John Johnson of Turlock, CA; ten daughters, Peggy Cripe of Denver, CO, Barbara McKay, Phillis Allen, Virginia Engle, Ruby Pickett, all of Indianapolis, Ruth Schutter of Mesa, AZ, Julia Bryant of Odessa, TX, Doris Croff of Englewood, CA, Mary Allen of Oxnard, CA, and Mary Mallard of Buffalo, MO; his mother, Mrs. Susie Clark of Indianapolis; a sister, Kitty E. Whitlow of Indianapolis; three brothers, Arnold Clark of Franklin, Aurbury Clark of Shelbyville, and Murl Clark of Columbus; 47 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Walter.
The body is being brought to Frankfort for service and burial.
