Mrs. Haggerty Dies May 11th
Mrs. Catherine Cowig Haggerty of the King road, Sheridan, died Wednesday morning, May 11th, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Roach of 731 Deer St., Dunkirk, after a short illness.
She was 91 years old and was the widow of the late Lawrence Haggerty. She was born in Buffalo, and had been a resident of Sheridan 59 years. She was a member of St. John Bosco's Church and its Altar and Rosary society.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Robert Roach, of Dunkirk; one son John S. Haggerty of Sheridan; a sister, Ann R. Cowig of Eggertsville; a grandson and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 9:15 from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Roach at Dunkirk and 10 o'clock in St. John Bosco's Church in Sheridan. Interment was in St. Mary's cemetery.
