Kenneth Overley, age 76, of Kerrville, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at home surrounded by family. He was born in Gueydan, Louisiana on April 7, 1940 to Lloyd Overley and Mayme Scanlan.

Kenneth was an electrician by trade and owned his own company Hot Shot Trucking, which was his last job and was a member of the National Guard. He loved his Grand Kids and Great Grand Kids, hunting and fishing, NASCAR races and his football team, LSU.

Kenneth was predeceased by his mother and father, Lloyd and Mayme Overley, sister, Irene Peoples; brother, Robert (Woody) Overley; his son, Kenneth R. Overley, Jr. and his daughter, Catherine (Cathy) Chidester.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Ann Overley; daughters, Sheila (James) Sloan, Debra (Robert Dunston) Gilder and Tracy Brophy; brother, Lloyd Overley of Greenwood, MS; sisters, Loyce Dykes of Greenwood, MS and Flossie Acy of Black Hawk, MS. He is also survived by Grand Kids, Nickie Schniebs, Lisa Brooks, Hunter Brophy, Trace Jordan, Jamie Gilder, Elizabeth Gilder and Kenneth (Robert) Chidester; and Great Grand Kids, Jade Sloan, Destiny Brooks, Garrett Brooks, Trinity Schneibs, Tanner Gilder, Jacob Chidester, Eli Chidester and Bree Chidester.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Monday, May 9, 2016 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville. Rosary will be held at 6PM, Monday May 9, 2016 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.

Funeral services will be at 10AM Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Living Tree Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
