Born in Cobleskill on December 19, 1945, he was the son of the late William and Marie (Egginger) Borden.
Paul was a longtime dairy farmer on Argusville Road in the town of Sharon, retiring and selling the farm in 2008. He also worked at Wal Mart in Cobleskill for 19 years, retiring in 2014.
Survivors include a son, Robert Borden of Sharon Springs; a brother, Gordon Borden of Seneca Falls; three grandchildren, Joseph, Erin and April; and a great grandson, Henry.
Paul was predeceased by a son, Christopher Borden, in 2008.
Interment will follow in Sharon Cemetery.
