Emil was the son of William and Mae (Wilson) Klee. He attended school in Wilson, Perronville, Bark River and Harris.
Emil's first love was his family - his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, helping others and working in his garage. He always said it was better to give than receive.
His working life started as a milk truck driver at the age of 16. He was employed at the Wilson Cheese Factory, Bi-tuminous Materials in Escanaba, a truck driver, Ed Schoen Mink Ranch, self-employed carpenter, a union carpenter and truck driver at the Quinnesec mill.
Emil W. Klee married Lenore LaFave on June 11, 1955, at St. Francis Xavior Church in Spalding. He was a member of St. John Neumann Church in Spalding and Teamsters Local 340.
Survivors include: his wife, Lenore; three sons, Jerry (Nina), Larry (Janice), James (Sharon); five daughters, Cindy (Jack) Bedard, Janis Klee, Sheri (Kevin) LaBonte, Christine (David) Pfeiff, and Mary (Dale) LaBonte; 27 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, June (Roger) Piche and Evelyn Glinecki; sister-in-law, Sharon Klee; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jim and George; and sister, Jean Klee.
