Ethel Chamberlain Dietrich, 85, widow of Charles Porter Dietrich, of 3 Lake Summit Drive, died Nov. 7, 2001.Born in Boston, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Francis and Dorothy Homer Chamberlain. Mrs. Dietrich was a homemaker and was active in various garden clubs. She was a member of Clarice Wilson Garden Club, Rolling Green Village Garden Club and National Council of Judges for Garden Clubs.Surviving are a daughter, Melinda Chamberlain Dietrich, of Brookline, Mass.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Porter and Margaret Elizabeth Dietrich of Greenville, and Allen Chamberlain and Janice Gibbs Dietrich of Clinton, Miss.; and six grandchildren, Charles John and Daniel Frederick Vinton, Kimberly Brook, Brian Thomas, John Alden and David Chamberlain Dietrich. The memorial service will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Rolling Green Village, with the Rev. Dillard Alexander officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rolling Green Village Garden Club, 1 Hoke Smith Blvd., Greenville, SC 29615; or Clarice Wilson Garden Club, c/o Greenville Council of Garden Clubs, P.O. Box 681, Greenville, SC 29602. - The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive.
