He graduated from Vestavia Hills High School. He attended the University of Montevallo and South Eastern University in Louisiana. Michael was a Store manager for Wal-Mart in several states and opened a store in Dusseldorf, Germany. He also worked as a store manager for Lowes.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Ashley Travis, parents, Neal and Billie Travis. He is survived by his children Brandon, Tiffany and Ricky and his grandchildren, Kylee Madison and Kaiden, brother, Bill and his wife, Charlotte, nieces Tiffany Radloff, Bethany and Ashley Travis and his much loved Schnauzers, Bama and Chloe. Michael enjoyed spending time with his family on the beach and watching Alabama football. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A time of visitation will be held at 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, May 16, at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home, 150 East Hwy 20, Freeport, Florida.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 16, at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Murray, Jr officiating.
