Charles Franklin Zumwalt, 65, of Hannibal, Mo., died at 10:52 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016, at the Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, Mo.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19, 2016, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Mark Albee will officiate. Burial will follow at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal, with the Palmyra American Legion Post 174 serving as honor guard.
Charles was born on July 28, 1950, in Hannibal, Mo., the son of Charles and Frances Smith Zumwalt. He married Erma White on May 9, 1982, at the Hannibal First Nazarene Church, and she survives him.
His parents; one daughter, Amanda Zumwalt; and one sister, Sharon Yohn, preceded him in death.
He is survived by three daughters, Christa (Sean) Hampton; Lee Ann (Alonzo) Turley and Katie (Andy) House; one son, Leroy (Tammy) White; two brothers, John (Millie) True and Gary (Martha) True; one sister, Donna Murphy; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Sean Hampton, Andy House, Alonzo Turley, Jamie True, John True Jr. and Virgil Christal Jr.
Charles worked with the maintenance crew at MFA Plant Foods, but his real passions were fishing and woodworking. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve for six years. He was a Christian by faith and attended South Side Baptist Church.
Memorials may be sent to The Shiloh Christian Children’s Ranch or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
