Stanley (Skip) Otto Wagner of King George was called to his heavenly home Wednesday May 11, 2016 in Tavares, Florida.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Shirley; his sons, Mark Wagner and Tim Dix (Bobbi Jo), daughters April Brinson (Gary) and Sandi Allmond. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Caleb Brinson (Angel), Katie Wagner, David Wagner, Jacob Brinson (Kaylah), Justin Dix, Lauryn Dix, Hannah Wagner, Jack Allmond and Joshua Dix and his great-grandchildren, Megan Heironimus, Leland Brinson, Braden and Camden Roles. He was predeceased by his parents Otto and Mary Wagner and Sister Sue Davenport. He is survived by his brothers Neal, Ray, Mac and Walter.
Skip was a member of Round Hill Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the US Army, where he served honorably in Okinawa. He was a devoted member and Past Master of Hudson Morris Masonic Lodge #80, A.F. & A.M.. He was also a member of Valley Lodge #93, A.F. & A.M. in Bristol, VA and Edward H. Cann Daylight Lodge #1752, A.F. & A.M. in Fredericksburg, VA. He was a proud member of the Scottish Rite, Acca Temple and Heritage Shrine Club as well as the Order of the Eastern Star. Skip was a proud 50-Year member of Steamfitters Local Union #602.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 17 at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday May 18 at Round Hill Baptist Church, King George.
Burial will follow in Historyland Memorial Park, King George.
