Bernice was born on December 20, 1920. She married William Howard Lierheimer (deceased) on October 7, 1938. She graduated 8th grade from Bean Creek School. She was the daughter of William Lester Bell and Mary Beven and had three brothers, Gene Bell, Clay Bell and William Bell, all who preceded her in death.
Her family includes her son, Larry Lierheimer of Portland, OR; two daughters, Nancy Smiley of Mexico and Shirley Haberfeld of Berkeley, CA; grandchildren, Lynn Arens of Montgomery City, Darren Smiley of Mexico, Lance Lierheimer, Kristin Lierheimer , Adrienne Lierheimer, all of Portland, Or, Sarah deHaaff (deceased), and Eva Phalen of Oakland, CA; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Edna DeVault of Mexico, Darlene Bell Centralia, MO and Pat Bell of Mexico; and many, many nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the Bethel Presbyterian Church basement.
Bernice loved life, dancing, her family and friends. She will be missed by many.
