GRADY CROMWELL
Grady D. Cromwell of Shelbyville died Tuesday, Dec. 7, at Bedford County General Hospital in Shelbyville at the age of 75. A native of Savannah, he was the son of Marcella Thomas "Dock" and Grace Spencer Cromwell. Mr. Cromwell was an Army veteran of World War II, and his first wife Melba preceded him in death. He was retired owner and operator of Bedford Marine and be was a member of Southern Trinity Methodist Church. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at Gowen-Smith Chapel in Shelbyville with Rev. Bill Cartwright and Dr. Tom Madden officiating. Burial was in Willow Mount Cemetery in Shelbyville. Other than his wife Joyce, he is survived by one daughter, Renee Shelnutt of Shelbyville; one son, Brent Cromwell; three sisters, Maxine Williams of Savannah, Jewel Conner of Shelbyville and Ruth Hunnicutt of Los Angeles, Calif.; four brothers, Dudley, Glen, Raymond and Carter Cromwell of Savannah; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
