Eleanor “Fern” Winter, of Ann Arbor, passed away on May 12, 2016 at her residence. She was 76 years old.
Born January 3, 1940 in Karnak, IL she was the daughter of Clarence F. and Clara L. (Jones) Sielbeck.
Fern was a Registered Nurse and worked at the old St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and for numerous private practices before retiring from the Packard Community Clinic. She was a long-time member of the Crossroads Community Church (Packard Road Baptist Church). Most of all she loved her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son Todd Winter and his wife Suzanne; her three grandchildren Nathan, Grace and Emma Winter; a niece Beth Hamlet and her husband Mike and her children Derek, Hannah and Josh.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert Joseph Winter; her mother Clara Sielbeck and her sister Lydia Canada.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Nie Family Funeral Home, Carpenter Road Chapel, 2400 Carpenter Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48104, with Pastor Clark Cothern officiating. Interment will be private.
