Allen will be on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS at 2 PM with burial to follow in the Riverwood Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Bro. Nathaniel Rios will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue on Thursday, May 5, 2016, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

He was born on November 12, 1954 in Brookhaven, MS, to Solon “Hody” and Annie Lou Long Allen. He was a retired line worker from Delphi Corporation in Brookhaven, MS. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his children and grandchildren and loved Ole Miss Sports. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors are his wife of 42 years, Elaine Griffin Allen; daughters, Shanna Allen Barrett of Oxford, MS, and DeAnna Allen Roberts and husband Robbie of McComb, MS; son, Joshua Glen Allen and partner Drew Hicks of Oxford, MS; parents, Solon “Hody” and Annie Lou Long Allen of Brookhaven, MS; grandchildren, Mia Adams, Brody Barrett, Gracyn Roberts and Maverick Roberts; a special pet, Sadie; and a host of family and friends.
