Elizabeth Ann “Betty” McCoy, age 87 of Hamilton passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 29, 1929, the daughter of Robert and Viola (Huentelman) Scheben. Elizabeth was an office worker for Tomson Steel for 10 years. She was a member of St. Ann Church and the Altar Rosary Society. Later in life, she was an avid card player and greatly enjoyed bingo. Elizabeth enjoyed time spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include five children, Dennis (Cathy) McCoy of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Denise (Don) Stephens of Cincinnati, Ohio, Daryl (Janet) McCoy of Independence, Kentucky, Dan (Laurie) McCoy of Indian Springs, Ohio, and Beth (Bill) Spegal of Camden, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Bill) Rieger, Billy Durrough, Luke (Julie), Aaron (Kelly), John, and Adam McCoy, Matt McCoy, and Kimberly (Jeff) Bean; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Alvera Jean Mitchell; several nieces and nephews.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30AM Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 10:00AM in St. Ann Church with Fr. Larry Tharp celebrant. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00PM Monday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s research.
