OBIT: FUNERAL ON WEDNESDAY FOR MRS. ADELLA BAILEY
Funeral services for Mrs. Adella A. Bailey, 89, resident of Grand Rapids and vicinity for 66 years, were held on Wednesday at the Greenhoe funeral home, which now occupies the house in which Mrs. Bailey was married and lived for several years.

Born in Coldwater, Jan. 18, 1851, she came to Grand Rapids in 1874 at the time of her marriage to Herman S. Bailey, then deputy internal revenue collector and son of Revenue Collector S.S. Bailey.

A few years later they moved to East Paris township. For the last 52 years Mrs. Bailey had resided in Plainfield township.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Robert A. North of North Park, Mrs. Clara Vander Bilt and Mrs. Helen Ellsworth of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Irwell Woodworth of Stambaugh, Mich., thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great -grandchildren.

Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Bailey died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert A. North of North Park.
