Obituary for Miss. Florence Latane Deaton
Florence Latane Deaton, 91, of 453 Deaton Road, Walhalla passed away Friday, May 13, 2016 at her residence.
A native of Oconee County, Miss Deaton was the daughter of the late Oscar Harris Deaton, Sr. and Berdie Addis Deaton. She was retired from the Kendall Company. Miss Deaton was a member of North Walhalla Church of God, where she was also a member of the Joy at Heart Senior Club.
Miss Deaton is survived by sisters: Gertrude Deaton and Essie Chapman both of Walhalla; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Miss Deaton was preceded in death by her siblings: Viola Deaton, Thomas L. Deaton, Oscar Harris Deaton, Jr., Jewel Addis, and infant brother, Floyd Deaton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 16, 2016 at North Walhalla Church of God with burial in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 16, 2016 at North Walhalla Church of God prior to the service.
Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to North Walhalla Church of God, PO Box 75, Walhalla, SC 29691 and Medi Home Hospice, 10239 Clemson Blvd #150, Seneca, SC 29678.
