Diane L. (Pienta) Barnett, 75, of Export, passed away suddenly Wednesday, May 11, 2016, in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. She was born Sept. 19, 1940, in Leechburg, a daughter of Ann (Novak) Pienta, of Delmont, and the late Theodore Pienta. Prior to retiring, Diane was employed as a medical staff coordinator and credentialist by Western Psychiatric institute and Clinic, Pittsburgh. She was currently employed as an administrative assistant by Cloverleaf Communities. Diane loved spending time with her family, spoiling her kids and grandkids. She also enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and Christmas. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Barnett. Diane will be greatly missed by her beloved family.

She is survived by her mother, Ann; son, James L. Barnett and his wife, Toni, of Latrobe; daughter, Deneen R. White and her husband, James, of Export; sisters, Jeanie Loase and her husband, James, of Ohio, Charlene Jackson and her special friend, Lou Columbus, both of Murrysville, and Norrice King and her husband, Richard, of Export; and numerous nieces and nephews. Diane will be especially missed by her grandchildren, Jimmy, Tyler, Alyssa and Chelsea; and great-grandchildren, Khalaijah, Rejan, Heavyn and Jameson, all of whom she was very proud.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, 724-468-1177. Funeral services for Diane will be conducted at noon Monday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. In honor of Diane and her love of bright colors and "bling," her family asks that you please consider wearing your brights and bling to the funeral home in her memory.
