Died, at the home of her son, Wm Witt, in Houston township, March 14. Mrs. Sarah Ann Thompson, of congestion of the brain. She was born in Lewis county, Missouri, May 8, 1843, and was married to Geo. W. Witt in 1865. She was the mother of four children, Delia, of Fresno, Cal,; Geo. E. of Kern, Cal,; Wm. and Sam, the cattle buyers of this county. Mr. Geo W. Witt died Sept. 25,1889. She leaves besides her children, an aged father, three brothers and one sister and a host of friends. She was sick only a short time. The funeral services were conducted by Elder O. Dllley of Camp, Point, who delivered an excellent sermon. Two of her brothers from Missouri, attended the funeral. Her remains were laid to rest in the York Neck cemetery.
