Jesse Keith McCoy
Jesse Keith McCoy age 23 of Wellsville KS was called home March 10, 2016.
He was born August 26, 1992, in Lander Wyoming to Jason and Stacie McCoy and passed away at his home in Lawrence, KS on March 10 after collapsing while playing basketball with friends. He attended Wellsville Schools, Wellsville KS, K-12 and was part of the graduating class of 2010. He continued his education at Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg KS and University of Kansas, Lawrence KS. You could frequently find Jesse on Thursday nights at Brothers with the regulars from the Reserves apartment Complex, hanging at Tonic, sporting his "Onesie" while playing video games, working out at the gym or in his jeep cruising while listening to Kenney Chesney with his best friend Addy and anyone else he could pick up to ride along.
Jesse was blessed with many friends and family that loved him. This was evident through the many activities he was involved in. He played with the Legends and Fusion soccer teams in Kansas City in younger years. After high school, he participated in various intramural sports including football, soccer, track and volleyball with his friends. Jesse cherished is time with his grandparents at the lake. He was known for his unique personality and always knowing when someone need his support. This was shown in many ways. His infectious smile was contagious; his generosity was shown in his acts of kindness. He provided homeless people as well as his friends and family with various forms of support. He was good about reminding friends and family he loved them every time he saw them.

He is survived by his mother Stacie McCoy, Bella Vista, Arkansas, father Jason McCoy and wife Lisa of Centerton, AR, his younger siblings Joshua Christian, Jacob Tyler, Christina Caylie and Joseph Eugene McCoy all from Arkansas. Also his Sister Alyssa McCoy – Sorosiak and her husband Shane of Temperance Michigan, a special friend Sydnee Edwards and best friend and Companion Addy, maternal grandparents Elden and Pam Ninemire, Ozawkie, Kansas , and paternal grandparents Rosemary Weaver, Riverton, Wyoming. Maternal Great Grandparents Clarence And Mary Alice Havel, Agenda KS; and many friends, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles R McCoy.
