Mrs. Harris was born on Jan. 20, 1962 in Derby, daughter of the late George Chatfield and Jane Schur Coviello.
Brenda had worked at the Ripton School, Shelton; she formerly worked at the Connecticut Institute of the Blind, and she waitressed at the former Sandwich Man Restaurant in Seymour.
Brenda loved animals, especially her two dogs; she enjoyed gardening and fishing, and selling at flea markets.
In addition to her husband, Brenda leaves her loving family including her stepmother, Marcia Chatfield of Seymour; her brother, Vincent Coviello of Naugatuck; and her sister, Amanda Noyes and her husband Keith of Seymour.
A memorial service in celebration of Brenda's life will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery.
