George Elmer McKenzie, 79, died Monday morning, April 2 at his home in Haynesville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, in the chapel of Bailey Mortuary. The Rev. Jack Winegeart, pastor of the Haynesville United Methodist Church, officiated at the services. Burial was in Old Town Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bessie Dickinson McKenzie; two daughters, Mrs. W.C. Greer of Minden and Mrs. R.L. Buckner of Houston; one son, George Stanley McKenzie of Lake Charles; two sisters, Mrs. Leona Cox of Homer and Mrs. Inez Adkins of Shreveport; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
