Wilma June West, age 86, of Albia, died on Thursday morning, May 12, 2016 at Oakwood Specialty Care in Albia. She was born on March 11,1930 in Marysville, Iowa to Charles and Nora Bell (Inman) Pettyjohn.
Wilma June married Fred West. She enjoyed mushroom hunting, baking, picking berries, going to garage sales, and especially spending time with her family. She also enjoyed raising everyone’s kids.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Jim) Ahn of Colfax, grandsons, Steven Ahn of Des Moines, Troy (Julie) Ahn of Indianola, one great grandson, Kyle Ahn; step daughter, Wanda (Dave) Thomas of Albia, and numerous step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Fred, and twelve siblings.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia with Pastor Vince Goemaat officiating. Burial will follow in Marysville Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia. Memorials may be directed to the family.
