Morganton - Edith Lyday Anderson Cunningham, 82, of Morganton, NC, died Saturday, July 11, 2015. Born in Transylvania County, NC on October 23, 1932; she was the daughter of the late William Andrew Lyday and Katherine Grant Boggs Lyday. Edith was a member of First Baptist Church. She earned her Master's Degree in Public Health Administration from UNC Chapel Hill. She worked at Grace Hospital and Western Carolina Center in the hospital unit.

A loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, Edith is survived by her children, Margaret Parry and her husband, James, of Pisgah Forest, NC and Amy Anderson of Jonas Ridge, NC; grandchildren, Cole Parry and Arlan Parry; and a sister, Mildred Plaster of Morganton. Edith will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Cunningham; and a brother, Bill Lyday.
