Lowell Wilcott, better known as "Bob" in the fire house, spent nearly 20 years in the fire service as an engineer with CDF. A Navy veteran, Lowell worked at Northern California fire stations including Martinez, Contra Costa, Oroville and Manzanita during his career. Everybody loved him and he will be best remembered for his sense of humor. On his off-duty hours, he enjoyed camping, reading, dancing and traveling and particularly enjoyed taking day trips with his family and stopping at every fire station that they encountered along the way. He died of a heart attack, while on duty.
