Connie Hale, 87, of Peachtree City, passed away May 9, 2016. She was born in London, England, to George and Gertrude Knowles.

She married Walter T. “Jack” Hale and joined him in his military career at duty stations throughout Europe and the U.S. She focused her loving attentions on creating a home for her family throughout the world. They settled in Fayette County in 1971. She graciously served her community in many ways and was proud of her 8 years of service on the Fayette County School Board. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church and the Greater Fayette Republican Women’s Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack and her parents George and Gertrude Knowles.

She is survived by her sons Glynn (Gloria) Hale and Steven (Paula) Hale; grandchildren Elizabeth Hale; Lindsay Hale; Ryan Hale; sister Olive Brunton and brother George Knowles, both of Hastings, England; and three nephews Martin, David and Nicholas Brunton.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Mowell Funeral Home in Peachtree City. Burial will follow the service at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City. The family will receive friends at Mowell & Son Funeral Home in Peachtree City on Thursday, May 12 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
