"David Raymond Hatcher. 77, Cave City, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at his home. He was born August 04, 1938 in Cave City to the late Rev. Earl and Maymie Poynter Hatcher. He was a farmer and member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Jean Sturgeon Hatcher, Cave City; children Amanda Jean Hatcher and Channing David Hatcher; grandchildren, Katlyn Ann Hatcher, Chandler Tristan Veluzat, Ashlyn Blake Veluzat; great grandchild Luke Ryder Thompson; special niece, Ka’Chelly Brook Coates (David); brothers, Stanley Hatcher, Isaac Hatcher and Paul Hatcher; sister Margie Wilson.

Funeral services with Joseph Wyatt and Trevor Thomas officiating will be at 1 PM Saturday, May 14 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Cave City Cemetery. Visitation at the Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City, will be Thursday from 4 to 8 PM, Friday 9 AM to 8 PM and on Saturday at the church from 10 AM until time of service."
