Funeral services for Robert Freise, 83, of Woodstock, formerly of Union, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee, with the Rev. Norman S. Meyer officiating.
Born July 10, 1920, in Schaumburg, the son of Henry J. and Christine (nee Kirchoff) Freise, he died Monday, Oct. 13, 2003, at the Woodstock Memorial Hospital, Woodstock. Burial will follow services in the St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery, Schaumburg. Robert was raised and schooled in Schaumburg. He farmed in the Schaumburg and Union areas for most of his life, and was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church of Union. Robert is survived by his sisters, Pauline Zoellick of Roselle and Laura (George) Thurow of Crystal Lake; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to this parents, Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Sophie Winkelmann; brothers, George, Henry and William Freise; and his stepmother, Paula Theiss Freise.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home. Please omit flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
