Kari Lynn Jenkins Hamilton, 45, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away on May 8, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She had fought a long battle with cancer.

Kari was born on November 30, 1970 in Sedro-Woolley, the daughter of William & Lloydene (King) Jenkins. She was raised in Bow and attended school in Burlington.

Kari worked as a clerk at local convenience stores for several years. On August 26, 1996 she was united in marriage to Mark Hamilton and they made their home in Oak Harbor where she raised her family and work as a manager for Sound View Shopping Mart. In 2007 they moved back to the Skagit Valley and she worked at the Skagit Casino Gas Mart.

Spare time found Kari gardening, going to the beach, going to the casino, or helping out others. She was ALWAYS willing to help. When family needed help she took in and cared for them, especially her great nephew, eventually adopting him into her family. Everyone was always welcome in her home, be it family or friends.

Kari is survived by her husband, Mark at the family home in Sedro-Woolley; her children, Kevin Otto of Seattle, Brandon Dean of Burlington and Krystelle and Thandon Hamilton of Sedro-Woolley; her mother, Lloydene Jenkins (Cliff) of Burlington; sisters, Leeshelle Howard (George) of Bow and Raelynn Jenkins (Danny) of Burlington; mother in law, Darlene Hamilton, of Pennsylvania; close friends, Kurt Walden and Carin Cooper and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Jenkins; grandparents, Lloyd & Norma King and Bill & Ruby Jenkins; father in law, Al Hamilton.

The Hamilton family wishes to thank Dr. Bruce Mathey, and the staff at Hospice of the Northwest for their loving care for Kari. They also request that memorials be made to the North Puget Cancer Care Center at United General Hospital or the Regional Cancer Care Center at Skagit Valley Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley. Interment will be at the Bow Cemetery, followed by a potluck gathering. Share memories of Kari and sign the online guest register at www.lemleychapel.com.
