Robert Dale Parrott,

78, of Indianapolis departed this life at home on Monday, May 9, 2016. He was born August 11, 1937 in Indianapolis to the late Virgil Jesse and Beulah Mae (Lynch) Parrott. Bob served his country in the United States Marine Corps and then went to work for General Motors for over 30 years. He was a member of Church of the Master and UAW #933. Bob loved his family dearly and enjoyed fishing trips to Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin with his boys. He always put his family first and in his later years, enjoyed fun times with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Jo and Donald Parrott and sister Juanita Sanders. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Patricia L. Parrott; his devoted children, Judy K. Richardson, Kelli S. (Mark) Holloway, Robert D. (Karen) Parrott, II, Terri L. Cook, Jeff L. (Laura) Parrott and Michelle L. (Kenny) Pike; sister-in-law, Dolly Parrott; 27 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and a host of good friends from Church of the Master and GM. Visitation for Bob will be from 4 - 8 pm on Thursday, May 12th at Family Funeral Care. A Celebration of Bob's Life will commence at 6:00 pm. Memorial gift are suggested to The American Heart and Lung Association or to The American Cancer Society .
