Leslie Lawrence Gibson, age 95, passed away peacefully at his home (Misty Wood Retirement Center) In Roseville.


Les worked at Mare Island Ship Yard in Stockton during WW2. Later he completed Barber School in Oakland and practiced in San Francisco and Stockton. Eventually he became the owner of four barber shops In Sacramento. In 1977 he retired to be a caretaker for his wife and his two sisters.


Leslie is survived by his daughter, Brenda Jackson; grandsons, Garrett Stephen and Jeremy Jackson; sister-in-law Clara Benbow Nelson; brother-in-law, William Harper; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Regina; sisters, Faye and Billie; and son-in-law, Milton Jackson, former NFL coach with the Baltimore Ravens.
