The funeral service for longtime carburetor plant worker Myrtle Rose Hill of Paris will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Mitch Sykes and her grandson, Mark Lossen Summers, will officiate. Burial will be in Puryear City Cemetery.

Named as pallbearers are Mark Summers, Mark Mason Summers, Noah Jace Summers, Eugene Nance, Jerry Maddox and Tony Sykes.

Honorary pallbearers will be Warren Sykes and Jim Rodgers.

Visitation is planned from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday.

Hill, 90, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, at her residence.

Born Nov. 5, 1922, in Puryear, she was a daughter of the late Cairl and Moyna Thompson Key.

She was married in 1948 to Marcus Alexander Hill, who died Nov. 7, 1980.

Hill worked at Holley carburetor plant for 36 years. She was a member of Central Point Baptist Church and according to a family member enjoyed her flowers and cooking.

She also leaves one daughter: Judy McGhee of Paris; two great-grandchildren: Noah Jace Summers and Mark Mason Summers; and her grandson's fiancee, Janet Scott of Paris.

She also was preceded in death by four sisters: Estle Cook, Jennie Sykes, Sadie Hastings and Lorene Smith; and two brothers: Rudy Key and Boyce Edgar "Johnny" Key.
