Eula Mae Mitchell Taylor of Ballinger passed from this life to her eternal rest on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at her home surrounded by her two daughters.

She was born May 26, 1929 in Wapanuke, Oklahoma to Joe and May Mitchell. She married Ben Taylor, Jr. on November 19, 1954 in Lovington, New Mexico.

She and Ben farmed and ranched for many years in the Bronte and Norton area until their retirement in 1989. In 1991 they made Ballinger their home where they remained until his death in 2008.

She loved cooking, sewing, working in the yard, and spoiling her grandchildren as much as possible.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her son Bill Dees, her parents, and siblings Jack Mitchell, Bob Mitchell, and R B Mitchell.

She is survived by her daughters, Genni Colombo and husband Phillip of Ballinger, Penni Muhundro and husband Randy of Frisco, daughter-in-law Jane Dees of Odessa. Also surviving are grandchildren, Todd Dees of Mt. Pleasant, Colorado, Kamina Dees of South Carolina, Ben Mohundro and Kaitlyn Mohundro of Frisco, AJ Colombo and BJ Colombo of Ballinger and great-grandchildren John and Rachel Dees. She is also survived by brothers Fred Mitchell and Bill Mitchell, sisters-in-law Norma Mitchell, Lynda Taylor, and brother-in-law John Alexander.

Funeral service will be Sunday, August 25 at 2:30 pm at Lange Funeral Home Chapel in Ballinger with Dr. W. Randy Mohundro and Brother Bobby Broyles officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service at Lange Funeral Home from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger.

The family wishes to express appreciation for all of the care and concern given to her by Beca Jones and Ballinger Hospice. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Runnels County Senior Center.
