Deanna Swafford Pritchett, 74 of Ringgold went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 7, 2016. She was born in Campbell County, Tennessee to the late Sam & Ollie Swafford but has lived in the North Georgia area for most of her life. She graduated from Cumberland College with her Bachelor of Arts degree and then received her Master’s in Education degree from Berry College. She was a Teacher with the Walker County Board of Education for more than 30 years and then served as a Volunteer with Hutcheson once she retired. She enjoyed traveling with Knoxville Tour Group and was a member of Parkway Baptist Church where she was active with the Crusaders Sunday School Class, the Golden Ager’s and the Awana Ministry. She was a loving wife, sister and aunt that will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Sammy Swafford & Paul Swafford and sister, Evelyn Douglas.

The family would like to thank the staff at Life Choice Hospice of Lafayette for the kindness and care shown through this difficult time.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in the funeral home chapel, Pastor David Sampson, officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens South. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday and until time of service on Wednesday. Arrangements by W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes, Fort Oglethorpe, GA.
