The Alabama-Birmingham Blazers and former Notre Dame Fighting Irish running back was declared brain-dead after he was found shot in a car on Interstate 95 near West Palm Beach, Florida. He was a five-star recruit out of high school who led his football team to a state championship in 2011 and received several awards along the way, including MVP that year. After high school, he played two difficult seasons at Notre Dame before he transferred to a junior college in Miami, then recently enrolled at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, where he planned to play in 2017.
