Eunice (Mrs. Earl) Stavens, 59, Hatton postmaster, died Tuesday, June 27, 1989, in Union Hospital, Mayville, N.D.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in St. John Lutheran Church, Hatton. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, in Bilden-Arnet Funeral Home, Hatton.
Eunice Weeks was born June 10, 1930, in Princeton, Minn., the daughter of John and Gladys Weeks. She grew up in Hatton and married Earl Stavens, June 12, 1948, in Crookston. She began work at Hatton post office in April 1965 and was named postmaster in 1970.
Survivors are her husband, son, Robert Grand Forks, brothers, Waldo Hatton, Bradley, Jamestown, N.D. and sisters, Dorothy FonTaine, Walker, Minn. and Bonnie Johnson, Altkin, Minn.
