Georgann Price McDonald was born July 11, 1944 in Evansville, IN to George and Mary Brown of Wheatcroft, KY and later of Pensacola, FL. She was the wife of Roger McDonald of Pensacola, the mother of Dwayne McDonald of Pensacola, the grandmother of Meagan and Catherine Williams of Pensacola, the sister of Roger (Karen) Brown of Wabash, IN and the sister of Sara Brown of Clovis, NM.

As the daughter of a Navy Chief Georgann moved much as a child and finally settled in Pensacola to graduate from Escambia High School and later obtained a degree in Elementary Education from Florida State University. During her 35-year career as a 5th grade teacher at Sherwood Elementary School in Pensacola, Georgann achieved her Master's degree from the University of West Florida.

Georgann was always doing something! She had many and varied interests. She was a member and past president of the Pensacola Depression Glass Club where her special love was in Ruby Red Glass. She Volunteered for the past many years at both Barrancas National Park on Pensacola NAS and at the Pensacola Lighthouse where she was able to share her love of Florida and Pensacola history. And above all she adored her many afternoons, quiet times and walks on the beaches of Northwest Florida where she was a fervent advocate for marine ecology.

Visitation will be held at Faith Chapel South on Wednesday, May 11 from 5 to 7 PM. Services will be held at Bellview Baptist Church on Thursday, May 12 at 2 PM with Dr. Dale Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Roger Brown, Dwayne McDonald, Albert Baker, John Pecoraro, Ray Brantly, Shawn Weaver.

Honorary Pallbearer is Marshall McDonald.
